Chair Sets
Article by
KarensVariety.com Chair sets are eye
catching. When you enter a room, you notice furniture and pictures
immediately; what strikes you as unique about a room when you enter
are the decorative items you do not expect to see. People browse with
their eyes taking in unusual lamps, pictures or decorative objects.
At one
time, chair sets were found in most homes. Some can remember these
from their grandmother’s house. A delicate lace cloth was placed on
the headrest of a chair and two smaller matching cloths lay on the
armrests. Their purpose was to keep furniture clean and keep the
fabric from showing wear. As part of the room décor, they were
crocheted in beautiful, intricate designs and shapes.
The pattern selection
for chair sets ranges from Victorian to modern designs, filled or lace
patterns, knit, crocheted, filet crochet, hairpin lace. You can choose
a pattern to suit your décor or something quite different.
Many of the same
patterns for chair sets can also be used as placemats, centrepieces,
or table mats. Choose floral for a lunch or bridge table, lacy for
dinner settings.
Try laying the
armrests down the centre of your pillows and tuck the chair back piece
under the fold of your blanket. Turn an ordinary bedroom into
something quite special.
So
enter a room in your home with fresh eyes and imagine.
