Most of the projects in this book
do not require more than a yard or two, and in most cases, scraps, quarter
yards, and half yards are all you'll need.
Usually made of 100 percent cotton,
calico has always been a favorite with quilt makers. Once a quilt is made,
there follows a basket full of calico scraps. Since calico is inexpensive
and widely available, it is used for more crafting projects than any other
fabric.
