Use a baby blanket
and remnant of soft fabric to sew a blanket buddy, or a washcloth to
make a bath toy.
Fold the blanket in
half and fold again to find the centre and place a pin to mark it.
Using a fabric
remnant, choose a head pattern; three are shown below, doll, bunny and
teddy bear. Print it larger or smaller to suit either a blanket or
wash cloth. Cut two and embroider or use fabric paint to make a face
on one side.
Sew around the head
leaving the bottom open for stuffing. Sew a double seam and bind the
edges if the fabric will unravel. Stuff the top of the head with foam
or washable fabric and insert the centre of the blanket or washcloth
into the bottom half of the head. Fold the blanket or washcloth body
over the hem of the head and sew.
