Kids Crafts - Have
A Craft
Bag
KarensVariety.com
Children love crafts. They have wonderful imaginations. Most stores
sell kits for children to assemble crafts. These, however, all have
pictures of the finished product and, of course, children expect to
produce a finished craft similar to what is shown on the box. This can
be very frustrating as it is not often that this works out. Why not
have a Craft Bag in your home which children can use at any time? Make
a suggestion if your child needs ideas and then let his or her
imagination take over.
Fill the craft
bag with items from your home, or with purchased craft pieces. Think
before you throw anything out, some part of it may be a future work of
art. Garage
sales are great for craft supplies. Remember to keep the craft bag
suitable for your child's age. Very young children should not have
very small pieces. Also, remember to ensure your items are clean, wash
anything that you can wash before putting it in the craft bag.
Your children
will make home decorations for every holiday, they will make practical
items for you. Your home will be well organized with various holders.
They will make flat pictures, 3D pictures and objects.
Small children
delight in making beautifully decorated pen holders from cans, older
children can make whole towns, characters, and vehicles from left over
boxes and cans. Dinky cars can drive and park in towns, dolls
will have lovely furniture and accessories.
Each will be
unique and worthy of much praise. You will develop your child's
imagination, creativity and self esteem, and your children will learn
a valuable lesson about recycling.
