How to Make a Cloth Doll
Article by KarensVariety.com

You can sew, knit or crochet a rag doll any size you wish if you use the correct proportions. Your doll can be slim or plush, tall or short.

Decide the height and thickness of your doll. Choose a fabric that is durable and with a measuring tape, mark off the top and bottom of the doll on the fabric (top of head and bottom of feet), and the width.

* The body measures 1 1/2 times the length of the head.
* Each leg measures 2 times the length of the head.
* Each arm measures 1 1/2 times the length of the head.
* Each leg and arm measures 1/2 the width of the body.

Stuff the doll and add hair. Use lengths of yarn and tie securely in the middle, then sew to the doll head.

Add wings to make an angel doll. Below is a pattern which can be made smaller or larger. Quilt or use appliques.
