Children will enjoy
making decorative baskets for Valentine's Day in the shape of a heart
and fill it with paper heart flowers or candies. Recycle used
envelopes of any colour or plain white. Let children use their
imagination to decorate.
Materials: used
envelope, glue, coloured paper, paints, crayons or markers
Choose a white or coloured envelope.
Draw a heart so the point is in the corner and the sides are on
the two sides of the envelope. Cut out the heart. If there is
writing on the front of the envelope, turn the piece inside out.
Cut a paper handle and paste it
inside from one side of the basket to the other.
Cut out small paper hearts and paste
them on paper stems. Place inside the basket. Or fill the basket
with candy or coloured lollipops.
Decorate the basket. Put on
stickers, draw a picture, cut out small pictures and paste on,
paint, place a small paper doily in the centre.
