Pictures
Kids Craft Article by

Children enjoy
crafts at any time. Combine an outing with crafts and your child can
make lovely pictures using leaves, petals and imagination.
Collect flower
petals and leaves from trees, plants or garden flowers. Lay flat
between wax paper, cover with a towel and press with a steam iron to
cover the leaves with a layer of wax.
Then be creative!
Make a butterfly as shown above using a willow leaf for the body,
maple leaves for the wings, and leaf stems for antenna. Your child
will quickly understand the concept and begin making pictures. Suggest
animals, houses, scenes or even people. Imagine a ballroom gown made
by layering coloured rose petals or other leaves!
Once the leaves and
petals are assembled, use a dab of children's glue to place on a piece
of cardboard or bristol board. Do not use too much glue or it will
show when it is dry.
