Easy to Make, Napkin
Rings
KarensVariety.com
Whether you have breakfast
for two, a bridge club lunch, or the whole family for holiday dinner,
sometimes there never seems to be enough matching rings. I discovered this
at Christmas dinner; if I bought 12 napkin rings (3 sets of 4), there
would be 13 people for dinner. Finally, I decided to make my own.
I bought wide ribbon with
wire edges and a bouquet of small plastic holly poinsettias. I cut pieces
of ribbon to size and using my glue gun, folded the edges under the glued
the edges together to form the ring. I cut each piece of holly as close as
I could and put a dab of glue on the bottom and glued it to the join of
the ribbon ring.
I was worried the glue would
let go and they wouldn't last but this is my fourth Christmas using them.
Of course, you can make
napkin rings for any occasion, in any colour, plain or fancy.
