How to Make Tin Can Lights
Article by KarensVariety.com

This is a wonderful recycling idea which can create beautiful lighting in your garden, deck or on your table by using tin cans. Make one or several to sit on a table, hang on your deck, or line a path.

Use empty tin cans with one end removed; remove all traces of the label and wash. Wrap a rag around a block of wood and insert it inside the can. Hammer holes with large or small nails in a design around the sides and top of the can. If you wish, you can paint the outside of the can.

If you place a tea light inside the can, remember that tin can get quite warm. Try using the new LED lights, they will last longer and you will not have to worry about the can toppling with a candle inside. LED lights come in different colours so you can create different moods with different lighting. Try on large or very small cans.

Place the light in the bottom to set on the ground or insert from the top and hang with wire.
