angels
large or small from any type of material. Use felt, fabric, cardboard,
stiff foil, or combine different materials. Make the body with cardboard,
the dress from fabric, and the wings from foil. Use to decorate gifts or
your tree. A wonderful project for adults and children. Sew or no sew
using glue. Embroidered or painted face.
For a 3-D doll, cut two bodies and stuff
lightly with cotton. Be sure to use fabric such as felt which does not
unravel. Sew together with small whip stitches.
Embroider or paint the face.
Sew the seven skirt sections together with
small whip stitches in a contrasting colour.
Cut two blouse pieces, tack to bottom of
skirt at back and lay over the shoulders crossing in front, tack to the
front of the skirt.
Tie ribbon around the waist for a belt.
Tack the wings to the back just above the
waistline.
To make the hair: cut strands of wool for
long or short hair and lay along the pattern for hair (1/2 the pattern is
shown). Stitch through or glue with a very thin line. Tear away excess
paper. Stitch or glue the completed wig to the centre of the head.
To curl the hair: spread glue on a pencil
and wind the bottom of the yarn hair to the pencil, slip off and let dry.
