Size: Doily measures 16 1/2 inches diameter from point to point.
Materials: 2 balls of No. 48 Clark's Cronita Hunter's Green
1 ball each of White and No. 126 Spanish Red
No. 7 steel crochet hook
Abbreviations:
 ch  chain
 sc  single crochet
 dc  double crochet
 tr  treble
 d tr  double treble
 tr tr  triple treble
 sl st  slip stitch
 cl  cluster
 sp  space
st(s) stitch(es)
rnd round

Starting at centre with Green, ch 8. Join with sl st to form ring.

1st Rnd: Ch 1, 16 sc in ring. Join to first sc.

2nd Rnd: Ch 1, sc in joining, (ch 1, sc in next sc) 15 times; ch 1. Join to first sc.

3rd Rnd: Ch 1, sc in joining and in each st around. Join to first sc (32 sc).

4th Rnd: Ch 1, sc in joining, (in next sc make dc and tr; ch 3, in next sc make tr and dc - shell over 2 sts made; sc in next 2 sc) 7 times, shell over next 2 sts, sc in next sc. Join as before (8 shells).

NOTE: On each rnd hereafter, repeat from * around and end as stated.

5th Rnd: Sl st in next 2 sts, ch 1, * sc in next sp, ch 9. End with ch 4, d tr in first sc to form last loop (8  loops).

6th Rnd: Ch 7, in loop just formed make (d tr, ch 2) twice and d tr; * ch 5, in next loop make (d tr, ch 2) 3 times and d tr. End with ch 5, join to 5th ch of ch-7.

7th Rnd: Ch 1, sc in joining, * (2 sc in next sp, sc in next d tr) 3 times; 5 sc in next sp, sc in next d tr. End with 5 sc in last sp. Join (120 sc).

8th Rnd: Ch 7, in next sc make tr and dc, * skip next sc, sc in next sc, skip next sc, shell over next 2 sc. End with dc in joining of last rnd, join to 4th ch of ch-7 (24 shells). Break off and fasten.

9th Rnd: Attach White to first shell-sp, ch 3, holding back on hook the last loop of each dc, make 2 dc in same sp, thread over and draw through al loops on hook (cl made), *  ch 9, sc in next shell-sp, ch 9, 3 dc cl in next shell-sp. End with ch 9, join to tip of first cl.

10th Rnd: Ch 3, 2-dc cl in joining (starting cl over cl made); * ch 3, in next loop make sc, ch 5 and sc; ch 5, in next loop make sc, ch 5 and sc; ch 3, 3-dc cl in tip of next cl (cl over cl made). End with ch 3, join as on 9th rnd.

11th Rnd: Starting cl over cl, * ch 5, skip next sp, (sc in next loop, ch 5) 3 times; cl over cl. end with ch 5, join as on 9th rnd.

12th Rnd: * Cl over cl as before, ch 3, sc in next loop, (ch 5, sc in next loop) 3 times; ch 3. Join.

13th Rnd: Repeat 11th rnd.

14th Rnd: Work as for 12th rnd, making ch-6 instead of ch-5.

15th Rnd: Work as for 11th rnd, making ch-6 instead of ch-5.

16th Rnd: * Cl over cl, ch 4, sc in next loop, (ch 7, sc in next loop) 3 times; ch 4. Join.

17th Rnd: * Cl over cl, ch 7, skip next sp, (sc in next loop, ch 7) 3 times. Join.

18th Rnd: * Cl over cl, ch 4, sc in next loop, (ch 8, sc in next loop) 3 times; ch 4. Join.

19th Rnd: * Cl over cl, ch 7, skip next sp, sc in next loop, (in next sc make d tr, tr tr, ch 3, tr tr and d tr; sc in next loop) twice; ch 7, Join.

20th Rnd: * Cl over cl, ch 4, sc in next loop, (ch 9, sc in next ch-3 sp) twice; ch 9, sc in next loop, ch 4. Join.

21st Rnd: Cl over cl, * ch 7, skip next sp, sc in next loop, (ch 8, sc in next loop) twice, ch 7, in tip of next cl make 2-dc cl, ch 3, sl st, ch 3 and 2-dc cl. End with a 3-dc cl in same place as first cl was made. Do not join. Place a marker on right side. Ch 3, turn.

Work First Point in rows as follows:

1st Row: (Wrong side): Cl over cl, ch 3, sc in next loop, (ch 6, sc in next loop) 3 times; ch 3, cl over cl. Ch 3, turn.

2nd Row: Cl over cl, ch 5, skip next sp, (sc in next loop, ch 5) 3 times; cl over cl. Ch 3, turn.

3rd Row: Cl over cl, ch 4, skip next sp, (sc in next loop, ch 4) twice; cl over cl. Ch 3, turn.

4th Row: Cl over cl, ch 3, sc in next loop, ch 7, skip next loop, sc in next loop, ch 3, cl over cl. Ch 3, turn.

5th Row: Cl over cl, ch 3, skip next sp, sc in next loop, ch 3, cl over cl. Ch 3, turn.

6th Row: (Cl over cl) twice. Break off and fasten. First point completed.

Next and All Remaining Points: With right side facing, skip next cl on 21st rnd, attach thread to tip of following cl. Ch 3, turn. Starting with first row, work same as First Point (12 points). Starch lightly and press.

LEAVES: (Make 12 sets of 2 Leaves)

First Leaf: Starting at centre with Green, ch 12.

1st Row: (Right side): Sc in 2nd ch from hook (tip) and in next 9 ch; in last ch make sc, ch 3 and sc; working along opposite side of starting chain, sc in next 8 ch. Ch 3, turn.

2nd Row: Working through both loops, sc in next 9 sc; in next sp make sc, ch 3 and sc; sc in next 8 sc. Ch 3, turn.

3rd Row: Picking up back loops only, sc in next 9 sc; in next sp make sc, ch 3 and sc; sc in next 8 sc. Ch 3, turn.

Next 9 Rows: Repeat 3rd and 2nd rows alternately. Ch 3 at end of 12th row, sl st in sc just made. Break off and fasten. Make second leaf in same way. Do not break off.

Joining: With wrong sides together and working through both thicknesses, sl st in next 8 sc and in next sp. Break off and fasten. Press.

BERRY CLUSTER: (make 12) With Red, ch. 4.

Centre Berry: In 4th ch from hook work as follows: Holding back on hook the last loop of each tr, make 7 tr, thread over and draw through all loops on hook, ch 1 tightly to fasten (cl made); make 3 more ch, sl st in same place as cl was made.

Outer Berries: Working around Centre Berry and making berries that consist of sl st, ch 2, 5-tr cl, ch 2 and sl st; make a berry in same place as Centre Berry was made, 2 berries between starting chain and first tr of Centre Berry, 1 berry in fastening chain at top of Centre Berry and 2 berries between last tr and ch-3 of Centre Berry. Break off and fasten, leaving an end for sewing. Sew leaves and berries in place as shown.
