The first book illustrates the various stitches.  This book does not, but does have an explanation.  If you are familiar with the various crochet stitches, you can make these designs.  You don't need Priscilla Crochet I book to use this book.

The first book explains. Irish crochet has a distinct advantage over other types of crochet.

Different edgings and medallions can be assembled into many different designs. These designs can be used to make lovely accessories.  Priscilla Crochet 2 has an emphasis on accessories.  Edgings and insertions together with medallions can be assembled to make necklaces, pendants, belts, buckles, buttons, bows, purses, jabots, collars, cuffs and trim. Some of the medallions in this book have the shape of shamrocks, flowers and butterflies. There are also patterns for doilies and a baby bonnet and bootees.

You can follow the patterns in this book or you can be creative and design your own accessories!
