RICHARDSON'S
32 PRIZE YOKES
New Designs
Book No. 10
Published by Richardson Silk Company
Chicago and New York
circa 1920 |
This is a
PDF Digital Reproduction
of a book published circa 1920, with 32 pages. The book contains instructions and large pictures for 32 different crocheted
yokes. They are designed to be used on nightgowns, chemises, corset cover
or camisoles. With today's fashion, they are still elegant attached to
nightgowns, tops, dresses or camisoles. There are many different shapes
and designs to the yokes and many different types of crochet used including
filet, knot-stitch, Irish, Maltese and Hair-pin lace. Although this is a
crochet book, there is one yoke which is tatted.
There is a page of Abbreviations which explains
the 17 different stitches used in the patterns including the most familiar ones
such as ch, sl st, sc, dc, tr, dtr, plus others which are used in each pattern;
Group, Picot, Loop, Triangle, Cluster, Cross Treble, Knot Stitch, Lacet, Fan,
Scallop, Block Stitch.
The original book has very large pictures on black
background with small print for directions. You will actually receive two
PDF books; one is an exact copy of the original so you can easily see the detail
of the yoke pictures and the other is an "ink-friendly" copy with small picture
and larger print which is more practical to use as a working copy. The original
book must be printed sideways as this is how the book is laid out; the working
copy of the book prints normally.
