Very easy 1940's style hat to knit for yourself or as a gift. Crochet a cute pair of poodle slippers. When you want a pattern, instead of waiting for the mail to be delivered, you can download instantly either single patterns or books; you might even want to try your hand at antique patterns.

Crocheted doilies are made in all sizes, large and small, and are wonderful to brighten up end tables; use as table settings (large for plates, small for glass coasters); lay them on padding to use as trivets; place them in frames with your favourite picture in the centre; set bows or other small decorations in the middle to accent your colour scheme or to go with the season; use as small candy or gift baskets (tie the four corners with ribbon or small flowers or holly and place one per guest).
