Cute small tulips to
sew from cloth. You can place them in a pot or use them to
decorate. A very special item is this jewel box and doily. The
jewel box is also crocheted and attached to the doily. Insert a
small dish to keep the shape and place on the lid. For summer
days, this is a lovely blouse to knit with drawstring top, light,
sexy cool.
With a little imagination and creativity, pot holders can be transformed
into lovely, useful gifts. With so many different varieties, you can
create something custom made for any person or occasion. Use embroidery,
sequins, ribbons and other trims to add to your “potholder”. Make with
yarn or thread to vary the size.
Each book is listed individually but you

Many
vintage afghan books
in PDF format have been added. Some of these old designs are
lovely, whether you enjoy knitting, crocheting or embroidering
afghan stitch. I particularly love the
Fleisher
book from 1937, the patterns are so far ahead of their
time, almost psychedelic. There are also Navajo patterns (Jeannette
Styles 1946 and
Star #154).
My favourite is the
Jeannette
Styles 1946 book which has a lot of information helpful to
anyone who wishes to try to custom make their afghan or try
variations.
