Article - Ideas for Doilies

Types and uses for doilies. There are different types and sizes and so many different colours and yarns to choose. Doilies can be easy to make or very intricate. They are small which makes them easy to take with you; carry in your purse or tote bag wherever you go. Work on them when you travel, while you sit in waiting rooms, while you watch TV or just relax on the deck. Make one or make many and join them together.
Article - Crochet Slinky Coils
Coils are simple to crochet and can be made with thread or yarn, large or small. Use to make many different accessories and toys. Remember those cute toy dolls with arms and legs like springs!

Information - Hardanger Embroidery

My home growing up was with filled with Hardanger embroidery. It wasn’t until I was older that I realized what a treasure these linens were and I now keep them carefully stored and display them for special occasions only. My grandmother was from Norway and despite emigrating to a new country and helping run a fishing camp, she still found time to carry on this lovely tradition.
