thread for a narrow belt.
Use larger hook and thread for a wider belt, or use decorative or
straw yarn. |

Row 1:
*, Ch 6, make a 3 dtr cluster in first st, repeat from * for desired
length. Do not turn work.
Row 2:
Ch 6, make a 3 dtr cluster in first st (holding 4 lps on hook), sk cluster
in Row 1, make another 3 dtr cluster in the ch between 2 clusters, work
off 7 lps at once, * ch 5, sl st at base of cluster, ch 5, make 3 dtr
cluster (holding last 3 lps on hook) in same st as last cluster, make 3
dtr cluster between next 2 clusters, work off 7 lps at once, repeat from *
to end of row. Do not turn work.
Row 3:
(Work from left to right). * Ch 6, 3 dtr cluster in first st, remove hook,
insert in st at top of 2 clusters (to the right), pull lp through, repeat
from * to end of row.
Row 4:
Ch 6, 3 dtr cluster in first st, ch 5, sl st at base of cluster, ch 5, 3
dtr cluster in same st holding lps on hook, a 3 dtr cluster in ch st at
base of next cluster, work off all 7 lps at once, repeat from * in Row 2
ending with 3 dtr cluster.
Row 5:
Repeat Row 3.
Row 6:
Repeat Row 2.
Row 7:
Repeat Row 3. Fasten and cut thread.
Line belt with grosgrain ribbon. Fold over
two corners at one end to make it pointed. Use a slide buckle on end and
fasten.
