Delicate bleeding heart flowers are a sign
of spring. They can be crocheted as edging trim for handkerchiefs, towels,
clothing or doilies.
Ch 6, sl st to form a ring.
Row 1:
Ch 5, dc in ring, (ch 2, dc in ring) twice, turn.
Row 2:
Ch 5, dc over last ch 2 lp, (ch 2, dc in same lp) twice, turn.
Row 3:
Ch 5, dc over last lp, (ch 2, dc in same lp) twice, ch 2, (8 dc, ch 2, 8
dc) in next lp, sk 2 sts, sl st in next st, sl st in next ch lp.
Row 4:
Ch 8, sl st in ch 2 between 8 dc groups, (ch 5, sl st, ch 7, sl st, ch 5,
sl st) in same ch 2, ch 8, sl st in next ch 2, ch 5, dc in next ch lp, (ch
2, dc in same lp) twice, turn. Repeat from row 1 for desired length.
When edge is desired length, complete row 4
and working into ch 5 lps, * ch 7, sl st in next lp, repeat from * across.
Fasten off.
