Begin at centre
crown. Make 4 ch, join into a ring with a ss. Work 2 dc in each ch (8 dc).
Continue in
rounds, marking start of each new round with a coloured thread.
1st Round:

Fasten off.
Press dc part of
brim very lightly. Turn under to wrong side and slip-hem lightly in
position with matching thread. Cut ribbon in half and slot 2 rows around
base of crown, joining ends by making mock bows at back.
