A very easy cushion to knit in two coloured
squares. Trim with cord sewn to seam. Sew on small coloured pom pons and
embroider stems or sew small lengths of yarn. Choose colours you wish;
autumn colours as shown, pastels for a girl's room, bright colours or a
youngster.
Front:
Cast on 141 sts.
Row 1: K 1, * P 1, K 1. Repeat from * to end of row.
Repeat this row until work measures 5 inches.
To Make Centre Block:
Row 1: * K 1, P 1. Repeat from * 17 times. K 69, * P 1, K 1. Repeat
from * 17 times.
Row 2: K 1, * P 1, K 1. Repeat from * 17 times. P 67, K 1, * P 1, K
1. Repeat from * 17 times.
Repeat these 2 rows until centre block measures 10 inches.
To Finish Front:
Row 1: K 1, * P 1, K 1. Repeat from * to end of row.
Repeat this row until front measures 5 inches from centre block. Cast off.
Back:
Cast on 141 sts.
Row 1: K 1, * P 1, K 1. Repeat from * to end of row.
Repeat this row until back measures 20 inches.
Cast off.
