the length you wish.
Cast on 38 sts.
K 13 rows in garter st
Next row: K 3, p 32, k 3.
Next row: K.
Repeat last 2 rows until 48 inches from
beginning, end with a p row.
K 13 rows.
Bind off.
Tassel: Wind 15 yards of yarn
about 82 times around a 3-inch cardboard.
Tie at one end with double strand of yarn, cut other end.
Wind yarn twice around tassel 1 inch from ties end and fasten.
Trim ends even. Make 2.
Finishing:
Matching rows, sew 2 long edges together, leaving about 12 inches at
centre open for head. With a running stitch, gather ends of scarf and sew
on tassels as illustrated.
