Abbreviations:

Crochet a lovely doily featuring leaves for any season by varying your colour. White for winter, lime green for spring, darker green for summer or fall colours for autumn.

Leaves:
Ch 15, sc in second st from hook and in each st to end, 3 sc in end ch, sc in each st on opposite side of ch, 3 sc in end st. Working in back lp of sc only, sc in each sc to 4th from tip, * ch 1, turn, sc in each sc to centre st at base of leaf, always make 3 sc in the centre or end sc, sc in each sc up other side to 4th from tip, repeat from * until 3 points are made on each side of leaf, sl st to base of leaf after last point is made. Fasten off.

The side section of the leaf are made in the same manner except make 3 points on the top side, 2 points on under or bottom side. Sew or sl st one under section of leaf on each side of a centre section - join about 6 sts.

Centre:
Ch 10, sl st in first ch to form a ring.

Rnd 1: Ch 3 for a dc, 23 more dc in ring, join with sl st in top of ch 3 first made.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same place with sl st, sc in next dc, ch 4, sl st back in last sc for a p, (sc in each of next 3 dc, p) 7 times, sc in remaining dc, sl st in first sc made.

Rnd 3: Ch 15, tr tr in middle sc between ps, (ch 9, tr tr in sc between next 2 p) 6 times, ch 9, sl st in 6th ch of ch 15 first made.

Rnd 4: Ch 4 for first tr, * 13 tr over each ch 9 lp, tr in each tr tr, repeat from * around, join with sl st in tip of ch 4.

Rnd 5: Sc in each of next 2 tr, 4-ch p, * (sc in each of next 5 tr, p) twice, sc in each of next 4 tr, repeat from * around and join.

Rnd 6: Sl st over to third or middle sc of 5 sc group, ch 15, tr tr in middle sc of next 5 sc group, ch 9, * sk 2 p and 4 sc group, (tr tr in middle of next 5 sc group) twice, repeat from * around and join.

Rnd 7: Ch 3 for a dc, make 11 dc over each ch 9 around and a dc in each tr tr, join.

Rnd 8: Ch 6, sk 2 dc, tr in next dc, (ch 2, sk 2 dc, tr in next) 4 times, * tr in each of next 7 tr, (ch 2, sk 2 dc, tr in next) 6 times, repeat from * around, join.

Rnd 9: Ch 6, tr in next tr, (ch 2, tr in next tr) 3 times, * 2 tr over ch, tr in each of first 2 tr of 8 tr group, ch 6, sk 4 tr, tr in each of next 2 tr, 2 tr over ch, tr in tr, (ch 2, tr in next tr) 4 times, repeat from * around, join.

Rnd 10: Ch 4, 2 tr over ch, tr in tr, * (ch 2, tr in next tr) twice, 2 tr over ch, tr in next 2 tr, (ch 5, dc) twice over next ch 6, ch 5, sk 3 tr, tr in last 2 tr, 2 tr over ch, tr in tr, repeat from * around, join.

Rnd 11: Sl st in next tr, ch 4, tr in each of next 2 tr, * 2 tr over ch 2, ch 2, sk tr, 2 tr over next 2 ch, tr in each of next 3 tr, (ch 5, dc over 5 ch) 3 times, ch 5, sk first 2 tr of 5 tr group, tr in each of next 3 tr, repeat from * around, join.

Rnd 12: Sl st over to last tr, ch 4, * 2 tr over ch 2, tr in tr, (ch 6, dc over ch 5) 4 times, ch 6, tr in last tr of group below, repeat from * around, join.

To join leaves:

Rnd 13:  * ch 8, sl st in base of right hand leaf, ch 3, sl st in base of left hand leaf, dc in each ch of the ch 8, sl st in last tr of previous row, ch 5, sl st in 4th sc on left side from base of leaf, ch 5, sc in  in dc on centre, ch 6, sk 4 sc on leaf, sl st in next sc, ch 6, sc in next dc on centre, 3 sc over next 6 ch lp on centre, ch 8, sl st in first point of leaf from tip, ch 4, sl st in corresponding point of next leaf, ch 8, sl st back in top of last sc made, 3 more sc over same ch 6, sc in next dc, ch 6, sl st in 4th sc from second side point on this leaf, ch 6, sc in next dc on centre, ch 5, sk 4 sc, sl st in next sc on leaf, ch 5, sl st in first tr of next 4 tr group, repeat from * around, fasten off.

Rnd 14: Join in second point of centre leaf section, * ch 9, tr tr in second point of side leaf, a ch-4 p in top of tr tr, ch 9, tr tr in top side of tip of leaf, p, tr tr in top side of tip of next leaf, ch 9, tr tr in second point of next leaf, p, ch 9, sl st in second point of centre section of this leaf, ch 9, carry ch to back of leaf, sl st in corresponding point on opposite side of centre section, repeat from * around, join. Fasten off.

Rnd 15: Join to tip of leaf, ch 10, tr tr over each ch 9 around, with a ch-4 p at top of each tr tr. Join and fasten off.
