3/4 yard each of 36 inch
fabric and lining
6 buttons for decoration
An easy sewing pattern for a reversible vest
with decorative buttons and pockets. There are no darts so you can easily
adjust the size and length.
Enlarge the diagram for the pattern (each square equals one inch); 1/2
inch seam allowances are included. Cut the paper pattern first. If the
jacket is large across the shoulders, subtract about 1/2 inch at the
centre back on the pattern. Cut out the jacket and lining.
Place the right sides of the jacket and
lining together and stitch around all the outside edges, armholes and back
of the neck, ending 1/2 inch from the shoulder edges and do not sew the
shoulder seams.
Clip the curves and turn the jacket right
sides out. Press. Turn under shoulder seam allowances of the fabric and
lining of the shoulders and hand sew. Sew 3 buttons on each side front of
the jacket and sew on the pockets.
