Flower Basket Sachet:

Ch 14.

Rnd 1: Dc in 5th ch from hook. Dc in each of next 8 sts. Make 7 dcs in the last st. Dc in each dc on opposite side (9), make 6 dcs in base of turning ch. Join with sl st to top of ch.

Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in the back lp of each dc around, making 3 dcs in each end st for an inc. Sl st to ch 3 to join.

Rnd 3: Dc in each dc around, join.

Rnds 4, 5, 6: Ch 3, dc in each dc, make 3 dcs in each end dc, join.

Rnd 7: Ch 3, dc in each dc, make 5 dcs in each end dc, join.

Rnd 8: Make 2 dcs in each dc around.

Starch the basket, rolling the edges to the desired shape while still damp. Stuff with cotton that has been lavishly sprinkled with powdered sachet, sew across top of basket attaching at the same time a "handle" of narrow ribbon, and decorate with ribbon flowerettes and a bow.

Daisy Sachet:

In yellow, ch 5.

Rnd 1: Sl st in 5th ch from hook to form ring. Ch 2, make 14 hdc in ring. Sl st to ch 2.

Rnd 2: Ch 4, make 2 trs in same sp as sl st. Make 3 trs in each hdc around. Sl st in top of ch 4.

Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in back lp only of each tr around. Sl st to ch 3, fasten.

In white, repeat Rnds 1 and 2 above.

Rnd 3: * Ch 10, tr in 4th ch from hook and in each of next 6 chs. Sl st in base of ch and next 3 trs; repeat from * 15 times. Sl st in last 2 trs and base of first petal. Fasten off.

Starch the bottom section if desired, arranging the petals to suit. Spread two sections of cotton batting, cut slightly smaller than the flower center, with powdered sachet and fit inside of the flower center. It should be a tight fit so that the sachet does not sift out. Sew the two crochet sections together, attaching at the same time a piece of narrow ribbon for stem - approximately four inches long and folded in half for the stem. Fasten a tiny bow to resemble leaves.

Rosebud Sachet:

Petal Rnd 1: Ch 4, make 4 dcs in 4th ch from hook, ch 3, turn.

Rnd 2: Sk first dc, dc in the next dc. Make 3 dc in center dc, dc in dc and top of turning ch. Ch 3, turn.

Rnds 3 through 7: Repeat Row 2, dc in each dc, inc 2 dc (3 dcs in center dc) each row.

Rnd 8: Sk first dc, dc in each dc to center. Make 5 dcs in center dc, dc in each dc to end. Fasten off.

Make three petals for each rosebud sachet.

Assemble: Starch the petals, and curl the two outer edges while damp. Cut a circle of satin approximately 3 inches in diameter. Cut a wedge out of it, and hem these two edges together (right sides together). Run a gathering stitch along the outer edge, pull up slightly. Stuff this with cotton sprinkled with powdered sachet, and draw up tight. Arrange the crocheted petals around this and tack in place. Cut, with pinking shears, another circle of green 1-inch diameter and sew to the bottom. Sew a piece of narrow ribbon for a stem (about 4 inches long, folded, and affix a bow).
