Knit a pair of slip-on slippers in soft angora yarn. An elastic strap around the heel will keep them from slipping off when you walk. Knit in two colours of pastel yarn to match any outfit. Easily adjust the length to fit a pair of purchased slipper soles.

Vamp:
In white angora, cast on 11 sts.
Row 1: K1, * P1, K1. Repeat from * to end of row.
Row 2: M1, P1, * K1, P1. Repeat from * until 1 st remains. M1.
Row 3: P1, * K1, P1. Repeat from * to end of row.
Row 4: M1, K1, * P1, K1. Repeat from * until 1 st remains. M1.
Repeat these 4 rows 4 times (31 sts)
Repeat Row 1 15 times.

To Make Turnover:
Row 1: K3, * YO, K2 tog, K2. Repeat from * to end of row.
Row 2: Purl.
Row 3: Knit.
Row 4: Purl.
Repeat these 4 rows once.
Row 9: Same as Row 1.
Row 10: K1, * P1, K1. Repeat from * to end of row.
Repeat Row 10 once.
Row 13: Cast off 8 sts. K1, * P1, K1. Repeat from * to end of row.

Row 15: P2 tog, K1, * P1, K1. Repeat from * until 2 sts remain. P2 tog.
Row 16: K2 tog, P1, * K1, P1. Repeat from * until 2 sts remain. K2 tog.
Repeat last 2 rows twice.
Cast off remaining 3 sts.

Strap:
In pastel angora, cast on 73 sts.
Row 1: K1, * P1, K1. Repeat from * to end of row.
Repeat this row until the strap measures 3/4 inches. Cast off.

To Make Up:
Cut elastic to fit from sides of foot around heel. Fold strap in half lengthwise and slip-stitch over elastic. Fasten each end of elastic to sides of sole. Make 60 inches of cord in pastel angora using 2 strands of yarn. In pastel angora, work 2 rows single crochet around the cast-off edge of turnover. Fold back turnover of vamp along centre row of holes and thread over-lapping holes with pastel cord. Slip stitch sides and toe of vamp to sole and finish all around sole with pastel cord.

To Make I-Cord:
1. With double pointed needles, cast on 5 stitches.
2. Knit one row.
3. Do not turn the work. Slip the sts to the other end of the double pointed needle so that the working yarn is at the wrong end.
4. Pull the working yarn tightly along the back of the work and knit the next row.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the I-cord is the desired length.
