Two colours of rick rack and matching thread
are used to make this pretty tieback for your curtains.
Fasten the ends of two pieces of rick rack,
and twist together, making a piece 16 inches long.
With coloured thread to match, cover the
bone ring with scs. Do not break thread.
Row 1:
Ch 2, dc in point of rick rack, * ch 2, dc in next point; repeat from *
across, ch 7, turn.
Row 2:
Dc in first dc, repeat from * in Row 1, ending with ch 3, turn.
Row 3:
* 2 dc in sp, dc in dc, (ch 2, dc in next dc) twice; repeat from * across,
end with a block as at beginning.
Row 4:
Ch 10 (for a tr and ch 6), sk bl and 1 sp, * 4 tr cluster in next sp, sk
bl, 4 tr cluster in next sp, ch 6; repeat from * across, sk last sp and bl,
tr in last dc.
Row 5:
Ch 3 (counts as a dc), turn, (5 dc, 3 ps, 5 dc) in each ch 6 lp, end with
ch 3, sl st in same lp as last group, cut and fasten thread.
Thread needle, sk 3 or 4 sts on ring, sew
rick rack to next 3 or 4 sts.
Cover second ring with scs, join, with
needle and thread, sk 3 sts of ring, sew on rick rack.
Repeat from Row 1 for other side of tieback.
End Row 1 with ch 2 and dc between end of rick rack and ring.
